Alison Woo is a journalist and co-author of the forthcoming book, Marketing with New Media - Using Websites, Blogs, Ezines & Podcasts. She is a featured monthly columnist for Women, Work and Wellness for WSOC-TV, Charlotte's ABC Affiliate. She is the editor of Union County Weekly, the Books Editor at The Charlotte Weekly, North Carolina’s largest community newspaper. She has worked for CNN Headline News, Emmy-Award winning anchor Linda Ellerbee and freelances for national news organizations, including MSNBC.
She is a freelance writer for Fortune Small Business magazine. A a contributing writer for The Weekend Entrepreneur” (Entrepreneur Press, May 2006) and “Women’s Wire Web Directory” (Macmillan, 1997). Her articles have appeared in American Businesswoman Magazine, Karma, Industry, et al.
A current member of eWomen Network and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Alison is also an active member of Radio-Television News Director Association & Foundation (RTNDA), Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and Media Bistro.
Prior to joining newmediamavens.com, she was an Executive Producer and writer for television stations in New York, Tampa, Sarasota, Orlando, Charlotte and Atlanta. She is a graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Pace University in NYC.

Lena Claxton has extensive marketing experience with professional services and Fortune 500 companies in various industries -- law, technology, entertainment and education.
She is the co-author of the book, Marketing With New Media: Using Websites, Ezines, Blogs & Podcasts. A graduate of Rutgers University (English & Journalism), she received her Masters degree in Adult Education and Distance Learning Technologies from The University of Phoenix.
In addition to coaching and consulting small businesses, Lena teaches at Central Piedmont Community College, Entrepreneurial Division
