Want to Create a Facebook Profile in your Business Name?

    Global

Have you ever tried to create a Facebook profile specifically for your business only to find that’s a no-no? And worse your site with all your videos, photos and friend connections have disappeared!

It’s because Facebook has strict rules about creating a profile in your business name. But you can work around it in two ways: Create a “group” for your business or create a “page.” I like “pages” better than “groups” because the former allows our blog to feed into the page whereas the latter doesn’t. With “pages” I don’t have to concern myself about keeping my page fresh everyday when I have a zillion other things to do.

With “pages,” people become fans of your page rather than “friends” as they do on your profile. You can create a “page” from the page manager tab on the “applications” menu.

Which do you like better, “pages” or “groups”? Click on the comments link below and give your reasons why.

    Regards,

    Lena Claxton
